Jonathan Musgrove grew up in Baltimore, Maryland. He holds degrees from Goucher College and The Graduate Creative Writing Program at Hollins University. His poems have been published in numerous magazines, journals and anthologies including The Atlantic Monthly, Ploughshares, Shenandoah, Prairie Schooner, and The New Criterion. He was the Alan Collins Poetry Scholar at The Bread Loaf Writer's Conference.
In 2016 Somondoco Press published his most recent work entitled A Hand in Place of a Hand. He is a registered nurse who has worked in critical care and hospice in the Blue Ridge of Virginia.
