Rob Carney is the author of Weather Report and Story Problems, both from Somondoco Press, Boasts, Toasts, and Ghosts (Pinyon Press 2003) and 88 Maps (Lost Horse Press 2015), as well as three chapbooks of poems, most recently Home Appraisals (Plan B Press 2012). In 2013 he won the Terrain.org Poetry Prize and has since joined their Editorial Board and become a regular contributor, writing a monthly series called "Old Roads, New Stories." He is a two-time winner of the Utah Book Award for Poetry and received the 2014 Robinson Jeffers/Tor House Foundation Award for Poetry. His work has appeared in Cave Wall, Escape into Life, Mid-American Review, Sugar House Review, Terrain: A Journal of the Built and Natural Environments, Verse Daily, and dozens of other journals, as well as Flash Fiction Forward (W.W. Norton 2006). He is a Professor of English at Utah Valley University and lives in Salt Lake City.
