Ed is an associate poetry editor of the Antietam Review photography
and literary annual and serves on the organizing committee of the annual
Sotto Voce Poetry Festival in Shepherdstown (W.Va.)
Ed's magazine and journal publications in the United States and
United Kingdom include poetry, short fiction, book reviews, essays, and
interviews. His work has appeared in Moneysworth, Mother Earth News,
UA Journal, Living Wilderness, Wilderness, Blue Line, Margins, Antietam
Review, WildEarth, Adirondack Journal of Ecological Studies, The Other
Side, Forest Preserve, Trout Magazine, Radix, International Journal of
Wilderness, Thoreau Society Bulletin, December, Psychopoetica, Bradford
Quarterly, Small Press Review, and many others. His poems are forthcoming
in Gargoyle, ABZ, and Kestrel magazines.
His books of poetry include The Way to Heron Mountain, A Calendar of
Worship and Other Poems, and a chapbook, The Ultimate Double Play. His
latest book of poems Mall-hopping with the Great I AM has just been
released by Somondoco Press.
Ed was the contributing editor for and a contributing writer to The
Living Earth Book of North American Trees published by the Readers Digest
Trade Books Division. His send-up of the local history genre, Shepherdstown
Historic Firsts, was published by Four Seasons Books. He is the editor of
Where Wilderness Preservation Began: Adirondack Writings of Howard Zahniser.
